Fox Paine scents a big profit from sale of Penhaligon’s

PENHALIGON’S, perfumier to royalty, has been put up for sale. US private equity company Fox Paine is hoping to sniff out a big profit from a sell-off of its stable of luxury brands, including the 130- year-old Penhaligon’s and its skin care brand Erno Laszlo. Fox Paine is understood to want about Pounds 80 million for the businesses, which form Cradle Holdings.
